Chicago is where Salient Fox calls home. It’s where we combine our consulting forces to deliver the best internet marketing services to our clients, and it’s also where we find relief and calm after a long work day. As a rising tech center and creatively driven city, Chicago offers several places where internet marketing consultants can go to work amongst like-minded consultants, find inspiration for their consulting work, and even take a break from it all!
Where to Work Among Like-Minded Consultants
Often consultants just need to find a spot where we can set up shop, work on projects, and occasionally interact and meet with like-minded people. One of our favorite locations called Soho House, located in Chicago’s West Loop, caters to the creative industry through their members-only club of developers, designers, media professionals, creative entrepreneurs, marketing consultants and more. They offer membership perks like an outdoor pool, gymnasium, special access to the hotel and restaurants, and tons of workspace. Other locations to work include open-floor incubators like WeWork, 1871, and Industrious. These locations have membership plans as well, with different workspace options available for the masses of startups, creatives, and other like-minded professionals that go there to work and mingle.
Where to Find Inspiration for Your Consulting Work
For those times when you need to step away from the desk and find inspiration, Chicago offers plenty of parks, museums, and gardens. Even in a city full of architecture and people, there is plenty of inspiration to be found in and out of nature! Head to the Art Institute and browse around the artwork done by local and renowned artists, from massive paintings to thought-provoking sculptures. If art isn’t your thing, head to architectural inspirations like 3 Arts Club Cafe at Restoration Hardware for a meal and some furniture browsing. Or, head to the Harold Washington Library and browse books before you head to the gorgeous top floor.
Where to Take a Break from Consulting
And of course, sometimes you just need a break! Head to the beaches, parks, and river fronts, or take a stroll through the streets of the Loop, River North or Gold Coast. Luckily, Chicago offers consultants the opportunity to clear their heads from time to time. Need a longer break? Head to Northerly Island, near Museum Campus by Chicago’s South Loop, where you’ll find a natural oasis with amazing views of downtown. You can also head to the north end of Chicago in Lincoln Park where you can visit the Lincoln Park Conservatory to find a more tropical vibe within a natural setting.
Whether you’re looking for a space to work, a place to find inspiration or an area to take a break, Chicago is definitely a town with consultants and entrepreneurs in mind. Have any location tips for us? We’d love to know! Where do you like to go to in Chicago?
